1985-1986

Western Wisconsin Tech. Graduation for Automotive Technician.

1986

August West Sweeps Workshop Chicago, IL

1987

Copperfield Chimney Supplies and August West

1988

Richmond, Virginia – A well-respected businessman, Frank Kaestner, started a business to help other sweeps learn how to increase their customer base through what he called “the course”. If you were lucky enough to be able to attend one of his classes, you would have all the tools needed to make a nice living in the chimney sweep business.

Denver, Colorado – Copperfield Chimney Supply

1998

Bell Fire System Installer. The Bell Fires System is a modular building component system that was scientifically developed in Europe. It debuted from the laboratory as the Bell Fires™ fireplace by Mr. Bell of England. It was commonly used to heat the entire home until the Second World War. Since then it has been further developed by using more modern aerodynamic concepts and thermal insulation techniques to improve the design.

2011

Chimney Relining Basics Refresher by Russ Dimmitt and Kelly Cecchini, Technical Pros at Copperfield Chimney Supply.

Subjects Covered: Pressure problems in the home, relining, and smoking problems, among other topics.

2012

Attended a National Franchise Conference to learn more about growing a business and taking care of customers.

2016

Attended a 3-day Masonry Construction class put together by the National Chimney Sweep Guild.

Exclusive training at the HeatShield® factory to best learn how to utilize the HeatShield® product line.

Attended a 2-day seminar hosted by Olympia Chimney Supply on Levels 1, 2, and 3 Chimney Inspections.

Received certification by the Certified Chimney Professionals, which is an organization “By Sweeps…For Sweeps™.” Organized to meet the needs of chimney professionals across the US, Certified Chimney Professionals™ is an educational organization which currently offers certification programs for chimney professionals.

2017

Attended the National Chimney Sweep Guild’s 40-year anniversary convention and received official certification credentials.

Chimney Inspection and Documentation Training at CSIA training center in Indianapolis, IN.

Attended a 5-day course on repairing, installing, and diagnosing gas hearth appliance problems.

2018

Attended Heatshield® Summit in Dayton, OH
