We Provide Chimney Sweep Services Throughout The Dallas/Forth Worth Area

Fireplaces bring us warmth and comfort and enhance the appearance and enjoyment of our homes. But these heating systems also require regular cleaning to keep efficiency high and risk low.

Neglecting cleaning leads to smoke problems, creosote buildup (a flammable deposit that results from combustion), and chimney-related fire and health hazards, and takes away from the efficiency, safety, and enjoyment of the fireside experience. Have you had your chimney cleaned recently? There’s no need to jeopardize your family’s safety when reliable help is just a phone call away.

If you’re looking for a knowledgeable company to clean your Dallas/Fort Worth chimney, we can help. We’ve been proudly helping reduce fire risk and increase fireside enjoyment for our neighbors throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area since 1983. Our Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) chimney sweeps have the skills to clean or repair any fireplace and remove any blockages or buildup. We’re fully insured and use only state-of-the-art tools and equipment, and we take excellent care of our customers and their homes.

We clean both masonry and factory built wood and gas chimneys and fireplaces, so no matter what type of chimney system you have, we can help.

What’s Involved In A Masonry Fireplace & Chimney Sweeping?

When sweeping a masonry fireplace and chimney system, our team will do each of the following:

  • Use canvas drop cloths and runners to protect the room we’re working in.
  • Set up powerful vacuums and cover the fireplace opening to control dust and keep the home clean.
  • Check the chimney flue and smoke chamber for creosote buildup.
  • Use brushes and rods to sweep the chimney, the smoke shelf, the smoke chamber, and the firebox.
  • Clean and vacuum behind the damper and vacuum any remaining soot or ash on the floor of the firebox.
  • We use a special camera that can see problems with your fireplace and chimney flue that cannot be seen with an ordinary flashlight. We invite you to watch this process.
  • Access the roof to inspect the condition of the brick or wood chase, the crown, the flashing, and the chimney cap.

What’s Involved In A Factory Built Fireplace & Chimney Sweeping

When sweeping a factory built fireplace and chimney system, our team will perform each of these tasks:

  • Lay a tarp in front of the fireplace and place runners across any carpeted areas leading to the fireplace.
  • Set up powerful vacuums and cover the fireplace opening to control dust and keep the home clean.
  • Check the chimney for creosote buildup.
  • Use the ProFlex brushing system to sweep the chimney and brush out the firebox.
  • Vacuum behind the damper and vacuum any remaining soot or ash on the floor of the firebox.
  • We use a special camera that can see problems with your fireplace and chimney flue that cannot be seen with an ordinary flashlight. We invite you to watch this process.
  • Evaluate the wood trim and siding, checking for damage.
  • Access the roof to inspect the condition of the chase, the chase cover, the flashing, and the cap.

With every sweeping, we also document the condition of the fireplace and chimney and note any damage or concerns. Our team will discuss their findings with you and let you know what they recommend as far as usage, maintenance, and repairs are concerned.

What Are Some Things You Can Do To Keep Your Chimney Maintained?

In between cleanings, there are a few things you can do to keep your chimney clean:

  • Trim back any branches or leaves that hang within 15 feet of your chimney.
  • Make sure you have a properly fitted chimney cap.
  • Always burn seasoned wood and build your fire on the supporting grates if you have a wood-burning appliance. Never burn anything that isn’t properly seasoned firewood.
  • Don’t over-fire your fireplace. Make sure the size of your fire is appropriate for your unit.
