Level One
A Level One video inspection is the very basic level. This is the type of inspection we’ll do if you have taken care of your inspections and repairs on an annual basis. We will do a basic look-over of the areas of your chimney. We will also make sure that all connections are sound and the basic structure of the chimney is sturdy.
Video Scanning: Level Two
With a Level Two inspection, we’ll take a deeper look-around. We use video equipment to get down into the interior of the chimney, where our sweeps won’t fit. This allows us to see if there has been any damage due to a chimney fire, weather conditions, or other natural disasters. We’ll for sure do a video inspection if this is the case. You will also need a Level Two inspection if there’s a change in ownership of the property.
Level Three
With a Level Three inspection, we’ll use the video equipment, and we’ll go even one step further. For this level of inspection, we usually open up areas of your chimney to get a closer look at things. This is an intensive level of inspection, as your chimney will need destruction to get to the deeper issues. It also requires more repair work and more clean up.
